Stopped on the fly and thrilled we did!! Didn't look like much from the outside, and inside was like a page out of Mayberry. Best sweet tea this side of Charlotte. Ordered the Billy's Burger ($7.25) with onions rings and was not disappointed. Yum!! Really good. Go!!

We are long time patrons of Eggs Up in Litchfield Beach, but after 6 years thought we would finally try the Litchfield Diner. Big Mistake! It was a busy rainy Saturday morning. There is no waiting area. We we seated right by the door so we constantly had ppl standing around over us. The place was dirty, sticky, smelly, and food was boring. Don't understand why it's always so crowded. Never again! Go to Eggs Up !

This is an excellent restaurant! Very quaint and delicious fare. Be prepared to get your fill of home-cooked food and amazing service. ;) We were here on a Friday and the joint was full.

meh, nothing great. Seems over rated to me. Maybe it's the best in this area but I wasn't impressed.

If you are looking for a down home diner, this is the place for you. Best eggs I've had In a restaurant. Also the best grits I've had EVER! And I love me some grits.

If you're looking for a no frills, classic breakfast place then this is it! The food was hot, plentiful, and on time. Service was excellent! This had to be where the locals eat breakfast!

Breakfast is my favorite meal hands down. I wanted to try Egg's up Grill but the Saturday crowd had taken over early. It was suggested by some friends and was a good choice to eat here. Any time I go In a place and the waitress and customers speak on first name basis and the place is full that's a good sign.Local's all way's know the best places to eat. A rustic building inside and out. I was seated quick. My coffee came to my table just about as soon as I parked myself. My choice was ham &eggs toast and hash browns. My food came right a way. A fine meal indeed. This family operated place is solid. When I'm back in the area lunch may be my next quest. I did not even begin to touch all that was on the menu. My breakfast was way under 9 bucks and well worth it. The building was old, carpet was a little worn. So what I ain't no cream puff myself....I will eat here again.....

Great little place for breakfast if you enjoy down home, simple cooking. Nothing fancy about this place or the food. It's good, but simple. Seating is first come first serve and depending on how busy it is service can be a little on the slow side. I haven't been there for lunch but I have heard that the specials are good and that they change day to day.

Hot and fresh food that is cooked to order and served by friendly and efficient staff that tastes like your mom cooked and is inexpensive makes this my absolute favorite restaurant. Every restaurant should emulate this model. I salivate thinking about their delicious food. I go as often as possible and seem to enjoy it more every time.

Was here during the summer and it was very good! We were quickly seated and warmly greeted by our server. I got the eggs over easy and the home fires. Both are simple but can be messed up at some places but not here! They were excellent. So was the orange juice! The place is decorated with just about everything you come find! It makes the place feel warm and cosy! What I really liked about the place was that their were so many locals that were there and the were obviously regulars because of the way they interacted with the wait staff. In all the place was really good and a perfect vacation breakfast stop

Food was good! Priced very reasonable! HOWEVER, with that being said....this place DEFINETLY needs a DEEP cleaning. The vents in the ceiling were COVERED in black and grey dust that was falling from the vents onto the floor and tables. The carpets is beyond gross. It's stained, sticky, and just old! I get it's a mom&pop place, but mom&pop need to clean! I would return, but only after a cleaning!

Great little diner with an old time feel. Quick and courteous service. Good food. I'd recommend going for breakfast.

This is a great local diner with a basic menu, which you can tell from the high percentage of pickups in the parking lot. We have only had breakfast here so far. The omelets are more like folded frittatas with ingredients mixed in than French-style folded omelets, but having quality ingredients they are excellent. I enjoyed the Western which some would call Denver. Grits are creamy with the right amount of salt. Hash browns are a large thin crispy patty and quite tasty. Biscuits are good but did not seem house made or freshly baked. Coffee is average. All the condiments are in individual packs, which I dislike, but real butter is provided. Service is friendly and fast. This will be our breakfast spot rather than waiting for a table at one of the more touristy places.

We had to go try this place out b/c we've been driving past for years and seeing the packed parking lot. It's neat b/c it's a mom & pop diner, but it's not worth going again. First the place is FILTHY- tables have gum stuck to them, bathrooms disgusting, vents and ledges covered in black filth, old carpeting that is black on the walking area. The hashbrowns, homefries, and biscuits appeared to be commercial frozen items, and we're flat out bad. Coffee was bad. The one redeeming point was that the staff were truly friendly and efficient. I rarely give a one star review, but this experience was such a disappointment, that I must do so.

The best breakfast in town. Take it from a local you will not be disappointed with this breakfast. Our personal favorite is the bacon, egg & cheese sandwich with corned beef hash! Other breakfast joints do "eggs" as well but not as good as this place.

I have been driving past this little restaurant for over a year and have always mused at the sign "voted best breakfast". Yesterday, a friend and I decided that it was time to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent and coffee was served as soon as we found a table and sat down. The quality of the coffee usually sets the stage for me and their coffee was very good and nice and hot. Looking over the menu, I knew that this was going to be a treat. So many items for breakfast, from eggs and grits, to steak, chops, country fried goodies with gravy and several varieties of sausage, my favorite with eggs and fried potatoes. We both opted for the eggs over easy(and they were done perfectly), Country Link ( a large, home made sausage with so much flavor it calls you from the plate) hash browns, done crisp, and toast. Everything was hot and perfectly done. It was enough to fill this hungry man and then some. Everything was prepared to perfection and served in a truly Southern tradition and pleasant smile. Our server never let our coffee cups go below a half and checked with us often. The place is packed with regulars and I can see why. The food is home cooking and served piping hot. I will have to hit this place for lunch as they have "meat and three" specials, just like in Tennessee. I love the variety of foods and I am sure that each entry is as good, if not better than our breakfast. I now have a favorite place for breakfast.

As far as greasy spoons, this place was pretty good. My breakfast was eggs, sausage pattys and a waffle. I enjoyed it. One buddy had the biscuits and gravy - he said they were good but very salty. One buddy had their ham egg and biscuit mini sandwiches and liked them. Prices were good and service was excellent. Three breakfasts and three coffees was like 25$. Coffee was like licking the bottom of a burnt coffee pot but probably very good for a diner and the area - don't take my word for it unless you live in a big city where you are used to very good coffee.

The gritz were awesome! We loved the biscuits and gravy. The chicken fried steak was good but the fried potatoes were below average. We recommend the restaurant but get the hash browns. Southerfood diners should serve real potatoes! Not frozen and then deep fried.

It is always frustrating to watch other patrons arrive, eat and leave while you are still waiting to be served. Our last trip to The Litchfield Restaurant lasted and hour and a half and we left hungry. People who came in after us enjoyed their meal and left while we sat there debating why we were being ignored. We live in the area and would have frequented this place for the sake of convenience. Needless to say, this establishment is no longer on our list of dining options.

Great breakfast spot in Pawleys Island. Low prices for a solid meal. Always packed but they will find a spot for you. Great owners who really care about your experience. Best Biscuits and Gravy in town

My wife makes me drive 8 hours to eat breakfast here. And while we are here we visit the beach too. Everything we order here is perfect. My favorite is the gut buster.

I really would like to try another place at the beach to eat breakfast (no, not really), but I can't seem to tear myself away from this place! It feels like home away from home. Food is super southern and super delicious! The over-medium eggs are perfect EVERY single time! I don't know how they do it! The grits are about the best I have had anywhere. No fancy add-ins...just good ol' grits. The staff is super friendly and really make you feel like a regular even though they can probably tell you are a tourist! :)
